A grid of identical arrows with exactly one impostor. The answer is generated from the puzzle data before the picture is drawn, so there is no argument about where it is.
Here is the whole idea: every arrow in the grid below is identical, except one, which has been turned. Nothing else has been changed — not the size, not the colour, not the spacing.
That sounds easy, and for the first fifteen seconds it is. Then your eye starts sliding over the pattern rather than reading it, which is exactly what makes this kind of puzzle work.
A tip that actually helps
Scanning randomly is the slowest method. Most people do it anyway.
The quicker approach is to give yourself a system: work along one row at a time, left to right, and let your eye travel at a steady pace rather than jumping. Repetition makes the brain very efficient at ignoring things, and a system forces it to keep looking.
If that is not working, try the opposite: defocus slightly and look at the grid as a whole. A rotated shape breaks the overall texture of the pattern, and sometimes the odd one appears as a small disturbance rather than as a shape.

This grid is set at medium difficulty, which means a moderate number of cells and a turn large enough to see once you are looking in the right place. The harder versions on this site use bigger grids and much smaller changes — a few degrees of rotation, or a single missing line.
